About Us

WireGuard , located in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, was incorporated in 2004 to manufacture the WireGuard reusable electrical box cover.

WireGuard was invented by electrician J.T. Smith. After 30 years in the construction business, J.T. has encountered endless problems during the construction phase of building. As any experienced electrician will agree, it is frustrating and adds unnecessary time and expense to deal with the mess that insulators, dry wall hangers, and painters will leave behind.

  • Dry wall hangers will cut and slice wires when they route out the openings for the electrical boxes.
  • The identifying marks on wires can get painted over, making it hard to tell which wire is which.
  • The electrician can damage his wires and boxes when he cuts old dry wall mud out of the boxes.

It's expensive, it takes time, it's unsafe, and it can pose a fire danger to the building.

After several months of contemplation, J.T. decided to have a friend forge a replica of his idea in steel. The finished product became a practical solution to an electrician's nightmare. A WireGuard in each box before the drywall installation will save valuable time and money and prevent damage to boxes and wires.

All WireGuard products are made of durable 18-gauge steel (about the thickness of the hood on a truck.) These tough protective inserts are reusable and built to last.
